Ground Tidy Up and Improvements

The annual tidy up has begun at the Club ready for the new season and our thanks goes to the willing band of volunteers who have helped so far.

The next tiday up will be this coming Saturday (28th June). Work parties have been going on all day so turn up when you can and lend a hand.

So far the following has been completed...

All seats removed from stand and structure given first coat of paint
Dugouts now have the correct number of seats installed
Office and Board Room have had a complete makeover and tidy up and new double glazed windows installed throughout building thanks to the generosity of Derek Graham
Some external walls have been painted and a good start on internal surfaces of changing rooms made

Works scheduled to be undertaken before season starts...

150 bench style seats to be put in stand and clearly marked (included in that will be facilities for press and 16 seats for home and away officials)
Improvements to the PA system (depending on availability of parts)
UPVC fascia installed on various areas to replace rotting wood
Finishing off of internal and external painting

We are also hoping that the following may also be undertaken...

External lighting to be finished around the car parking areas
Covered area by Office/Board Room/Turnstile to be finished

Our thanks also goes to Paul McGuinness for the works undertake on the approach to the car entrance to the ground where trellis and blockworks have hiden that horrible old green fence

One thing that we are still desperatly in need of is either a portacabin or mobile home type structure (two if possible). We need some other indoor areas to help us with works needed for Southern League football. If you can lay your hands on any or if you are a business wish to sponsor their purchase please let me know.
